With a population of around 200,000, Limassol is the second largest city on the island, and is situated midway between Pafos and Larnaca. It is a cosmopolitan coastal city which seamlessly blends traditional and modern elements.

Vibrant events and street celebrations fill the town's calendar, ranging from carnivals to wine festivals. Seemingly infinite sandy beaches edge the town, and the warm waters are perfect for water sports of all kinds. It's all too easy to lose track of time in the town centre's excellent shopping malls, art galleries and theatres!

The nearby Troodos Mountains harbour countless monasteries and traditional hillside villages, which make for pleasant exploring. In winter people of all ages and abilities flock to the peaks to make the most of the short skiing season!
